PLASTIC HANGING GARDENS
AN INSTALLATION MADE ENTIRELY OF PLASTIC BOTTLES AND UPCYCLED MATERIALS
55 STRANDS MADE OF HAND-CUT AND HAND-PAINTED PLASTIC BOTTLES AND ALUMINUM CANS GENTLY SWAY IN THE BREEZE SURROUNDING THE VIZCAYA VILLAGE PICNIC AREA.

These sculptures were crafted from Vizcaya's trash, which is sorted daily. Bottles were prepped by Pangea Kali Virga and Nico Hough, decorated by Lotus House families, community members, and various artist, and strung by Pangea.
​
This project happened with help from Dayna, Artisans Playhouse, Jeremiah, Paula, Santiago, and others!

CYANOTYPE BANNERS
AN INSTALLATION MADE OF UPCYCLED MUSLIN PATCHES PRINTED WITH ORIGINAL CYANOTYPES
60+ INDIVIDUAL CYANOTYPES PRINTED BY THE COMMUNITY AT OUR ECOTOPIA CYANOTYPE WORKSHOP USING PLANTS FORAGED FROM VIZCAYA MUSEUM.

Ecotopia participants learned about cyanotypes while printing their own cyanotype patches to be included in the Ecotopia Cyanotype Banners.
